I've really been loving matte lips, whether it's lipstick, lipgloss, or a balm. The trouble is, matte lip products tend to be really drying, and as it is winter time, that's a pretty annoying thing. I've found that these NYX Matte Lipsticks, however, aren't as drying as most, if at all, and the colors are beautiful!

Here's a swatch of each! The swatches are pretty accurate, though I'd say the red is slightly darker in real life. They're very pigmented!
They apply smoothly, but to prevent feathering you do need a lipliner for the red and for darker colors. You can get away with not using lipliner for the pinky color and other light colors. These are the only two I own at the moment, but I can't wait to purchase more. My Ulta always seems to be out of most of the colors, though. I was lucky to have found these two!
