It's time for my non-beauty favorites of 2012! Let's get started.

2012 Beauty Favorites!
I can't believe 2012 is coming to an end already. It seriously feels like 2011 was just here and I was busy packing to move to Texas. But as it is now December 31st, I'm going to share my 2012 favorites! I have a lot more favorite products than this, and I'll do a "favorite products of all time" post eventually, but these are just the products I found myself reaching for the most this year. Some of these I only recently purchased in the last few months, but they've already become holy grail items that I'm never giving up.

First post!
So, I have no idea what I'm doing making a blog about beauty, but I figured, why not make a beauty blog? I've been watching beauty gurus on Youtube for awhile, I've always loved makeup, and my makeup collection is growing while my wallet does the opposite (I regret nothing). I wanted to share my love of makeup and skincare and all of that fun stuff with the rest of the world, whether or not my blog is actually quality or successful or whatever. So here I am!
This first post is boring, yeah, but it felt weird not introducing myself and just jumping right into the beauty stuff. I'm 21 years old, almost 22. I lived in Louisiana for nearly all of my 21 years until I moved to Texas in January 2012. I'm a biology major and for the last few years, my goal has been to concentrate in cellular biology and go on to vet school to become a veterinarian. Kinda going through a quarter life crisis here, though, and I'm not sure that's what I want anymore. We'll see! I'm addicted to entertainment in the form of books and TV shows. I'm a massive Harry Potter fan. The title of my blog comes from Harry Potter, sort of. There's a phrase in the books called "Mischief Managed" and I thought "Makeup Managed" would be cute.
I love, love, love makeup. The funny thing is, I don't wear it that often and I've never been a consistent makeup wearer. Doesn't mean I love it any less, because I do, but I think I love sleeping in more. My favorite brands... I'm the kind of person who hates picking favorites because I'm horribly indecisive. But if I had to choose: NYX, Revlon, Loreal, Urban Decay, and NARS. As for skincare, I've been loving First Aid Beauty because I have eczema and their products help to relieve it, but Cerave is amazing as well. Haircare, I'm not picky. I've been lucky to have pretty nice hair, so as long as I just have a sulfate free shampoo, moisturizing conditioner, and a leave in conditioner, I'm good!
I don't know what else to put here. I'm clearly not a pro at this blogging thing, haha. Guess that's it for now! I'll post some beauty things soon. For now, I'm gonna disappear into the world of The Host, which is an amazing book, by the way. Give it a shot if you're into books about aliens with a touch of romance.
