2012 Non-Beauty Favorites!

It's time for my non-beauty favorites of 2012! Let's get started.

I couldn't choose between these two books. Both of them I read in a night because I just could not put them down! The Fault In Our Stars is a really amazing book and it is one of my favorite books of all time. I pretty much cried throughout the entire thing. It's so moving and heartbreaking. Divergent is amazing as well and is more of an action packed dystopian kind of book. It is similar to The Hunger Games, so if you enjoyed those books, you'll enjoy Divergent. Divergent is being made into a movie set to be released in March 2014 and I'm so excited for it! Divergent also has a sequel, Insurgent, and the series is a trilogy to be completed in the fall of 2013 when the third book is released. Insurgent is just as good, and I can't wait for the final book.

I haven't seen many new movies this year. I'm not a huge 'go to the movies' person unless there is a film I've been wanting to see. Some of my favorites this year have been The Hunger Games, The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, Silver Linings Playbook, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. But if I had to pick one favorite of all of them, it would have to be Perks. I read the book for the first time earlier this year in preparation for the movie and enjoyed it. It is written in a letter format, which I don't personally like when reading books. However, the movie was just incredible. The actors brought the characters to life so well and the adaptation was flawless. This is the only instance in which I prefer the movie to the book. Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller's acting was both perfect and they could not have picked better actors for the roles of Charlie and Patrick. Emma Watson was good as well, but Logan and Ezra stole the show. I just really, really enjoyed this movie. It brought me back to my high school days (which I actually liked! I know many people don't like high school, but overall, I had a nice time) and it's always nice to reminisce. God, that makes me sound so old, haha.

I only just discovered Breaking Bad a few months ago, but it has stolen my heart. Seriously. This show is amazing. It's the perfect mix of action and drama, two of my favorite genres. But there's also comedy and romance. And I couldn't help but fall in love with Jesse Pinkman, one of the show's main characters. LOST is my all time favorite TV show, but Breaking Bad is a very, very close second. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys action dramas, and the first four seasons are available on Netflix.

My favorite album this year is Born To Die by Lana Del Rey. I know there's some controversy with her and how she used to go by Lizzy Grant, etc., how she sounds different live, but I don't really care about all of that. I started listening to her in February of this year, and I am still not sick of this album. I love the different voice techniques on it, the instruments, the lyrics. It's like nothing I've ever heard before and I love that.

I was in Bath and Body Works one day when I saw this candle. I just knew I had to smell it. Smelling this candle is one of the best decisions I have ever made, because it is amazing. It smells exactly like a cinnamon sugared donut. It makes my room smell like a bakery. It's literally the most perfect pastry scent, in my opinion, and though it does make me hungry, I cannot get enough of it. I have two large ones, and a few small ones, because I believe it is only put out during the fall and I just can't imagine not having this candle in my collection.

I think that's about it for 2012 non-beauty favorites. I could include more things, like food, but if I did, I'd be here all day. Plus, who even cares what my favorite foods have been? Haha. I hope these 2012 favorites posts have inspired you to try out new products or read a new book or watch a new show!
